Both GSHP (ground source heat pumps) and ASHP (air source heat pumps) are both eligible technologies for Domestic RHI payback. This scheme is now open to everyone who can meet basic standards, and is now available for households both on and off gas.
Homeowners with a typical 3 bedroom new build house could get repaid in the region of £6,500 when they install an air source heat pump, or in the region of £15,000 when they install a ground source heat pump over a period of 7 years.

The commercial RHI is a 20 year pay-out tariff provided by the government to encourage businesses like yours to install low carbon technologies.
The following tariffs came into force on May the 28th 2014: Non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive tariff for ground source heat pumps has been increased from 4.9p/kWh to 8.7p/kWh for the first 1314 operating hours per 12 months, the remainder is paid at tier two which is 2.6p/kWh. Air source heat pumps commissioned after 2nd December 2013 are now eligible for the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive.
