Heatology; fully MCS accredited installation experts in Devon:
Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is a nationally recognised quality assurance scheme, supported by the Climate Change and Department of Energy (CCDE). MCS certifies microgeneration technologies used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources.
MCS is also an eligibility requirement for the Government's financial incentives, which include (FiT) the Feed-in Tariff and the (RHI) Renewable Heat Incentive.
Heatology Ltd have MCS Accreditations for:
- An Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP). This is a system which absorbs heat from the air outside and turns this into heating energy for room heating and hot water. This can be in the form of air-to-air (warm air for space heating) or air-to-water (heated water for space heating and /or hot water).
Solar PV: Solar Photovoltaic panels generate electricity by using solar-cells to convert energy from the sun into usable electricity.
Solar Thermal: Solar Thermal Hot Water captures solar energy and converts it into hot thermal energy. The heat is then transferred to the water in a hot water tank either directly or through a heat exchanger.
MCS approved products are rigorously tested to satisfy the established European and International standards. Additionaly, the product manufacturers must also undertake manufacturer production control audits to show that they have the management systems in place that support the quality production practices and than can demonstrate the products at are finalised at the end of the production line are of the same standards and quality of those that have been tested.
